A Vermont Ski Trip Packing Guide for Men

ski trip packing list

Ski trips can be some of the harder vacations to pack for. You need to be warm enough on the mountain while skiing, but if you’re like us you’ll also want to look good during your apres ski happy hour! The following list is a perfect place to start to make sure you don’t forget anything on your next Vermont ski trip or any ski trip for that matter! This packing list could be helpful for just about any cold weather destination- like the snowiest city in America.

A Ski Trip Packing Guide for Men

Ski Trip Gear: A lightweight yet warm jacketVermont ski trip packing guide

As the US ski season comes to a close after some record-breaking spring snow storms, now is a perfect time to stock up on some gear for your spring skiing or for next year’s ski trip! Standout in this North Face Ski Jacket!

Snow Pants

Mallory got a lot of comments on her leopard print snow pants, mine are much simpler bright green! The perfect snow pants are flexible and lightweight yet warm. You can find plenty of options on Atomsphere

A breathable base-layer for ski trips or hiking trips

A base-layer is a versatile piece of clothing because it is usually lightweight and breathable making it perfect for not just ski trips, but also hiking, camping, etc.! I usually like my baselayers to be black because it goes with everything! You can find one by Minus33 Merino Wool here! Minus 33 makes all of their 100% natural merino wool clothes out of their Ashland, NH headquarters!

Ski Trip Gear: Long Underwear/Tights

I originally got a pair of these for training for the marathon we ran back in January, but after skiing in them I think they are perfectly suited for your next ski trip! The compression style of these tights will keep your legs fresh longer if you’re hitting some of the bigger hills or wood trails that burn your legs out quicker than the easier slopes.

You can’t forget all of the “accessories” you need when going on a ski trip! You’ll want warm gloves, a warm hat or helmet, a gaiter or something to cover your neck, and the last thing you would want to forget is your ski goggles.!

Keep your feet warm during your ski tripMen's packing list ski trip

I swear by my alpaca socks. Not only do they keep my feet toasty warm, they are also softer and provide a little more padding, so my ski boots become instantly more comfortable! You can find various styles of alpaca socks on Amazon! Campmor is also a great place to find warm socks for your next ski trip.

Boots to get around when you’re finished skiing

What to pack for a men's ski tripThere aren’t too many people that would willingly put their feet through the torture of ski boots all day and continue to wear them when they are done skiing. They just aren’t comfortable and they’re damn near impossible to drive in (don’t even try to drive in them). Here are a few options for some stylish boots for your apres ski time!
