There is a time for exploring, a time for hard work, and there is a time when all you need is to sit back with your feet in the sand and an umbrella drink in your hand with not a care in the world. Our trip to the Turks and Caicos luxury resort of Amanyara was the last kind of trip. I actually had a really hard time deciding where to stay in the Turks and Caicos when planning this trip. There are so many options from the Turks and Caicos luxury villas on Luxury Retreats, to some small Turks and Caicos boutique hotels, but in the end, I went with Amanyara.
The Aman Hotel Group
I first heard of Amanyara about a year ago when planning a similar trip, but in all honesty, I never knew that it was part of an ultra-luxury resort chain. The Aman Hotel Group began in Phuket, Thailand and has now spread to have 31 properties in 20 countries. The chain is known for its peaceful settings and its name is derived from the Sanskrit word for “Peace”.
Amanyara – Turks and Caicos Luxury Resort Check-In
I knew this was going to be a great stay from before I even had our suitcases packed at home in Tampa, Florida. A couple of days prior to our arrival I reached out to the concierge at Amanyara inquiring about airport transfers. They quickly responded and set up a complimentary transfer in one of their Land Rover Discoveries (I have a soft spot for these cars because this is what my very first car was!) from Providenciales International Airport to the resort. It was about a 25-minute ride from the airport to the resort. When we arrived at the resort we were greeted by the whole team, pretty much someone from each department was waiting there to greet us: restaurants, concierge, activities, the spa everyone introduced themselves and made it know that they were available to make our stay perfect any time of day or night. After the introductions, we got a quick tour of the resort and were escorted to our “room” to complete check-in.
Amanyara Deluxe Pool Pavilion
One of the major perks of the American Express Platinum card is their Fine Hotels and Resorts Program. 5X points when you pre-pay your reservation, early check-in and guaranteed late check-out, a room upgrade, complimentary breakfast, and a $100 resort credit. I’d highly recommend checking out this card if you love staying at the world’s most luxurious hotels.
We lucked out and got upgraded to the Deluxe Pool Pavilion. Our “room” featured its own private sundeck and infinity pool, a super comfortable bed, the best rain shower I have come across and a deep soaking tub. The resort also brought us local treats and a really good bottle of champagne that we ended up bringing home with us to save for a special occasion. I honestly would have been 100% content not leaving our beautiful pavilion the entire weekend, it was that incredible. We also had complimentary access to our own golf cart to get around the resort for our stay.
The Food at Amanyara
I don’t know about you, but when I’m searching for where to stay in the Turks and Caicos or wherever I may be traveling to, one of the things I take into consideration is the number of restaurants a hotel has and if any of them are internationally acclaimed. While Amanyara may only have two dining options plus room service and the bar, they have a few things going for them. Their head bartender has competed worldwide and was named best bartender in the Caribbean, and best bartender in the Aman Resort Group. We were fortunate enough to be able to go to both restaurants and try the private dining menu at our pavilion.
Amanyara also hosts guest experience events. This included a complimentary cocktail hour where guests and some staff and mingle, followed by in our case a beachside bar-be-que with just about anything grilled you could imagine. Every single thing we tried was fantastic, but I was particularly fond of the chicken sausage tacos for breakfast and the filet I had one evening for dinner.
Best Turks and Caicos Luxury Resort Beach
You probably know the Turks and Caicos are famous for their white sand beaches and crystal clear every possible shade of blue water, and I have to say that definitely did not disappoint. The first morning we were just walking around exploring the property a little and as soon as we got to the beach and saw the beautiful water we were just in awe. The soft light from the rising sun made it even more beautiful. When you are searching for where to stay in the Turks and Caicos or any other beach destination, the amount of complimentary beach activities is crucial. Amanyara offers plenty of beach activities including standup paddleboards, Hobie cats, snorkeling and kayaks. There are also three complimentary snorkel trips out to a reef each day, but with only 6 spots on the boat, you have to sign up ahead of time.
Other Activities at Amanyara
The beautiful Amanyara is easily one of the best Turks and Caicos luxury resorts just based on the accommodations and food but being secluded on the Northwest corner of the island of Providenciales also makes it great for other activities. Amanyara is located adjacent to a nature reserve, so there are several conservation and eco-activities guests can take part in. There are guided eco-hikes where you can see and learn about the native plant and animal species, take part in a tag and release mission of green and hawksbill turtles, or check out the resorts coral restoration efforts on the artificial reef. If that’s not enough adventure for your the concierge is at your beck and call to help you plan whatever adventure you could want!
Best Turks and Caicos Luxury Resort Spa
If you are more in need of a slower pace relaxing vacation like we were, you have to check out the spa and the various yoga and pilates classes that are offered daily. A few hours before we sadly departed Amanyara we decided to put our $100 resort credit to good use and booked a couples massage. We try to check out the spa and get massages on every big trip we take so we have a lot of different experiences to compare this with and it was one of the best. I usually go for the traditional deep tissue massage, and this time they did a little extra stretching which I really appreciated. The setting was relaxing and the only thing is I wish we had more time to relax and enjoy the facilities. Amanyara also has a full gym, tennis courts, and a soccer field, so if you want to get a workout in they have everything you could need.

From even before we left for our trip the team at Amanyara went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience in the beautiful Turks and Caicos. We also had a guest experience manager that checked in on us throughout our stay to make sure everything was just right. The first day the WiFi in our pavilion went out and once I let them know it was fixed within 20 minutes. We were well taken care of during our stay at this amazing Turks and Caicos Boutique hotel. They even accommodated us when we decided to change our departure time three different times because we weren’t ready to leave just yet.
The Most Beautiful Luxury Turks and Caicos Resort
The second you arrive on property it is like a dream. The Asian inspired open-air architecture is full of symmetry which is so pleasing to the eye. Couple that with the location on the coast of the island of Providenciales and the stunning blue water you won’t want to leave this luxury paradise. Amanyara is easily in the top 3 most beautiful resorts I have had the pleasure of staying at.

This super-luxurious Turks and Caicos boutique resort was a dream come true, and everything we needed for a long weekend away from home. We arrived somewhat drained from life and left tan, happy, and recharged. The accommodations we spectacular and it was so nice to have our own private pool. Everything we ate during our stay at Amanyara was fantastic and the local beers and specialty cocktails were very good too!
