It’s finally time for one of my favorite days of the year. It’s like Christmas in July because the specials and deals you get on Amazon Prime Day are so good! A few items that will certainly be on sale during the 36-hour sale is all of Amazon’s devices. Whether it is to keep your children busy on that next flight or so you can bring several books to read on the beach, you won’t want to miss out on the special device deals that will make your life easier when traveling.

Get a New External Hard Drive to Back up Your Photos

There is nothing worse than running out of space on your hard drive when you still have a few hundred photos left to transfer. I always carry two external hard drives with me just in case one fills up. The Seagate Backup Plus Ultra Slim 2TB Hard Drive is my go to since it is so slim and easy to pack, making my life easier when traveling.

Get Some Stylish New Luggage

There is a good chance you will be able to find some amazing deals on new luggage during Prime Day. When choosing your luggage, make sure it comes with a TSA-approved lock and personally I prefer a hard-sided rolling bag that can roll any direction.

If you’re like me, by the time you get off a plane in your destination, your phone is already dead and now you’re stuck trying to figure out how to get an uber to the hotel with no phone. I wouldn’t bother with a card under 64 GB and it must have a minimum write speed of 90MB/s. If you’re following me on Instagram you’ll know that I’ve recently had some issues with my old tripod. It tipped over on a dock and fell in a lake with my prized Canon 5D Mark IV on it ruining both the camera and my favorite Sigma Lens. It’s amazing how portable and affordable drones have become in the last two years. You can now get professional level 4K video and high-quality raw photos from the best portable drone on the market the DJI Mavic Air. Even better you can get it for less than $800. All of your friends will be jealous of your beautiful Instagram photos from your drone flying above an exotic beach on your next vacation. I was amazed how easy DJI makes it to fly their drones and since getting one I haven’t traveled without it.
